AGENDA

13:30 - 14:30 Registrations & Welcome Reception

14:30 - 15:00 If DNS Fails, Everything Fails: Europe’s Sovereignty on the Line

Digital sovereignty is no longer a future debate. It is being tested every day. By geopolitical pressure, by regulation such as NIS2 and CER, and by an uncomfortable reality: we are increasingly dependent on a highly concentrated global digital ecosystem. And at the heart of that ecosystem sits DNS as an invisible layer.

In this keynote, Kristof Tuyteleers, CISO of DNS Belgium, will reveal why DNS security is a frontline issue for resilience and sovereignty. He will share how weaknesses at this foundational layer can escalate into systemic risk and what organisations must do now to protect themselves.

This is not a technical story. It is a story about control, resilience, and trust in an increasingly unstable world.

Kristof Tuyteleers

Kristof Tuyteleers is CISO at DNS Belgium and the co-founder of the European TLD ISAC, a sectoral body for sharing cyber threats and strengthening collective security. He leads cybersecurity, data privacy, and risk strategy for critical internet infrastructure. A pragmatic and business-focused leader, he bridges deep technical expertise with real-world impact. He actively advocates for international collaboration in securing the domain name ecosystem.

15:00 - 15:30 Invisible Attack Surfaces: Why Embedded Security Is Your Next Executive Risk

As organizations accelerate digital transformation, thousands of embedded devices, from IoT sensors to industrial controllers, silently expand the enterprise attack surface. Yet, these systems often remain unmanaged, unpatched, and inherently vulnerable.

In this keynote, Jorn Lapon, Research Manager at KU Leuven, will uncover how attackers increasingly exploit embedded systems as entry points into critical business environments. He will translate deep technical realities into executive-level risks: operational disruption, intellectual property loss, and regulatory exposure. The session will explain how to integrate embedded security into their broader cybersecurity governance and risk management frameworks.

Jorn Lapon

Jorn Lapon is Research Manager for Secure Software at the DistriNet Research Unit of KU Leuven, one of Europe’s leading cybersecurity research groups. He specializes in embedded systems security, focusing on protecting connected devices through secure software design, firmware protection, and hardware-assisted security mechanisms.

With extensive experience bridging academic research and industry applications, Jorn works closely with organizations to translate advanced security concepts into practical, scalable solutions. His work addresses critical challenges in securing IoT ecosystems, industrial systems, and next-generation connected infrastructures.

15:30 - 16:00 Break

16:00 - 16:30 Sovereignty is the New Perimeter

We face an unprecedented regulatory convergence: the EU AI Act, NIS2, DORA, and GDPR, compounded by the extraterritorial reach of the US CLOUD Act and the unresolved aftermath of the Schrems rulings. Let's move beyond siloed compliance thinking and treat AI governance, cybersecurity resilience, and digital sovereignty as a single board-level agenda. What are the practical architectures — cryptographic, federated, and operational — that restore meaningful control over data and decision systems? How can we bring the regulatory overlap into a unified compliance architecture, clarifying board accountability, and setting investment priorities for 2026–2027? Sovereignty is no longer a legal question. It is the new perimeter of enterprise resilience.

Renaud Larsen-1

Renaud Larsen is Senior Solution Engineer at F5, with a career spanning leadership roles at several major IT companies. He founded FastTango in 2001 and joined Cisco in 2005 via the TopSpin acquisition, where he led European business development for the SAVBU portfolio. During that period, he created SQR Technologies, focused on True Random Number Generation and Key Management. He holds a patent on cloud data security and three pending patents in virtualisation. His co-authored book De la Souveraineté !  examines the philosophical and strategic foundations of European digital sovereignty.

16:30 - 17:00 From Packets to Prompts: Why Context Isn’t Enough in AI Security

Security has always evolved to match the interface of computing. We started with packets, ports, and protocols. Then we shifted toward context: Identity, device posture, behavior, and access conditions. But in AI systems, context alone is no longer enough.
As organizations deploy copilots, assistants, and agentic workflows, security teams must deal with a new problem: systems that can interpret requests, access sensitive data, call tools, and take action. In this world, the key question is not just who made the request or from where, but what the AI is being asked to do; and whether that intent is safe, authorized, and compliant.

In this session, Robin Johns explores the evolution from packets → context → intent, explains why traditional and context-based controls can fail in AI workflows, and outlines the practical controls security and privacy teams should prioritize now: visibility, policy enforcement, data protection, action governance, and operational readiness.

Robin Johns

Robin Johns has built a career around making complex technology understandable and helping people grow their skills and careers. With experience spanning WAN optimisation, network monitoring, digital experience management, protocol simulation, and network security, he combines deep technical knowledge with a passion for learning and enablement. Whether discussing emerging technology, cybersecurity, or career development in IT, Robin brings curiosity, practical insight, and an engaging, people-first approach to every conversation.
