Beyond the Cloud

Multi-Cloud and Hybrid-Cloud environments have become popular as they are critical for modernisation, rapid delivery, high-availability, flexibility, cost-effectiveness and avoidance of vendor lock-in. Yet adoption of multiple clouds by enterprises has come with some additional complexity. Organizations are facing:

  • Technological challenges such as new services and features to keep up to date with, multiple cloud environments and on-premise data centres to keep connected, and more potential points of failure
  • Security challenges such as a more complex environment to keep secure and an expanded attack surface
  • Data challenges such as data trapped in silos leading to long times to detect and resolve issues
  • Control challenges as there are more services to monitor and secure across the entire IT landscape
  • Complex contracts and costs which are more difficult to keep under control and allocate correctly.

Let's share experiences and recommendations during an online lunch meeting on Tuesday March 22 from 12:00 till 13:30. The discussion will be initiated by a panel discussion with Artie Debidien, An Swalens, Peter Van Eijk and Yves Peeters.

  • Artie Debidien is CIO/CDO, Supervisory Board member, Guest lecturer and Advisor.
  • An Swalens is CIO of the National Bank of Belgium.
  • Peter HJ Van Eijk is Associate Professor Cyber Security & Cloud at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences.
  • Yves Peeters is Cloud Transformation Manager at Carrefour Belgium

You are welcome at our online lunch meeting to learn from our panel and to exchange thoughts on how to deal with the complexity of Multi-Cloud environments.
